Tomislav Brajnović, Speed, photography, 2009

Tomislav Brajnović, a Croatian artist from Rovinjsko selo, will have his first solo exhibition in Slovenia at the Alkatraz Gallery, where photographs and videos from his Arctic Circle and Ego Trip will be exhibited.

Artic Circle is a series of photographs and videos created in 2009 when the artist took part in an international expedition to the North Pole. It was a three week journey of creation and exploration on board a hundred year old ship, which soon became the temporary incubator for reflection and research of the seventeen artists and explorers.

Ego Trip is a series of photographs that thematize different levels of ego in art and society and were taken in different parts of the (art) world (between New York and Venice) during the period 2008 to 2010.
