Igor Eškinja: The Near and the Elsewhere

April 7 - May 1, 2011
Škuc Gallery, Stari trg 21, Ljubljana

We are informing you about the project of Sonja Zavrtanik, assistant of the World of Art, School of Contemporary Art.

Igor Eškinja

You are most kindly invited to the opening of the exhibition, which will take place on Thursday, 7th April, at 20.00 at Škuc Gallery. We also invite you to take part in the talk with the artist, Igor Eškinja, on Thursday, April 21th, at 18.00.

With his installations, the Croatian artist Igor Eškinja continues to transfer us into unusual situations, torn between illusion and reality, the seen and unperceived, material and non-material, destabilizing our perception of reality. The exhibition The Near and the Elsewhere, specifically prepared for Škuc Gallery, which can also be read through these dichotomies, is his first solo show in Slovenia.

Curator: Sonja Zavrtanik
The exhibition is part of the Local Talk series.
