Katalog 4. 4.Anthology of texts 4. 4. and at the same time the exhibition catalogue of the exhibition 4. 4., organised by the participants of the World of Art, School for Curators and Critics of Contemporary Art (SCCA–Ljubljana), is based on a research of the new production of young visual artists in Slovenia. With this group exhibition young curators wished to present an overview of the current situation in art, culture and society.

The exhibition catalogue is divided into three thematic sections:

  • The first part introduces the texts by the curators, highlighting the various aspects linked to the exhibition and the catalogue.
  • The second part focuses on the picture material that shows the artworks and the layout of the exhibition, accompanied by the artists’ statements.
  • The third part consists of interviews with the artists in which their understanding of the world and their artistic practices are revealed.

The World of Art is the sole program in Slovenia and the broader region of Central, Eastern and Southern Europe aimed towards practical and theoretical education in the field of contemporary art. It comes out of a premise that future experts need and should be taught the skills and methods, along with gaining knowledge and insight into the critical and theoretical apparatus as all this should eventually help them when tackling the complex matter of the world of art.
