Series of public lectures Reflections and shifts in curatorial, critical and artistic practices
World of Art lectures now on-line

The 2014 World of Art educational programme consists of a series of public lectures and workshops within which we are addressing the complex relations between theory and practice in the field of contemporary art. Together with invited guests, Suzana Milevska, Elke Krasny, Jayme McLellan in Paul O’Neill, we sharpen critical reflection on contemporary curatorial practices, deepen our knowledge about contemporary art theory and history and all that meets again and again with contemporary art practices. The programme is being prepared by SCCA-Ljubljana and the Igor Zabel Association for Culture and Theory.

If you have missed any of the lectures or you would like to listen to them again, we have published the lectuers on-line.

Suzana Milevska: The Troubled Relation Between Theory and Curatorial Practice (5th February 2014):

Elke Krasny: Unplanned History – Writing It Down/Writing It Up as a Critical Curatorial Practice (13th March 2014):

Jayme McLellan: Different models of support for emerging art and artists in the U.S./D.C. (15th April 2014):

Paul O’Neill: Did Somebody Say Curating, Again? Recent Turns in Curatorial Practice (12th May 2014):

The lecture and the workshop is a part of the 2014 World of Art public programme, which is being prepared by the SCCA–Ljubljana and the Igor Zabel Association for Culture and Theory.
