In her videos, which are sometimes made in conjunction with other authors, Ana Čigon raises questions about the historicization and underrepresentation of female artists and other important female figures and their work in the public sphere. In some videos, she expands her exploration of the underrepresentation into other invisible and ignored social groups. Through her work she also encourages reflection on how narrow group of people ever have privileged access to representation in the form of public monuments and other canonised cultural creations.
