The Zine-Ship is a moving workshop station, an oasis, a library, an urban garden. Share & Give & Make & Take. A workshop for zine-making and zine community planting, a mobile ecosystem. A zine hub that contains and ignites a moment of innovation, from concept and production to process, exhibition, and archive. The Zine-Ship is about making author-ship accessible to all, encouraging self-publishing, and activating creativity. Creative owner-ship becomes a collective lab.
Learn how to make a simple book from one piece of paper and some basic bookmaking techniques, from glueing and printing to distribution. Tools and materials will be provided. Bring your ideas. By the end, you will be ready to start your own DIY press at home, at work, and with friends. The workshop will provide a brief historical overview of this DIY format, from 80s punk and Riot Grrrl to other political movements.
Paper sails are hoisted! The makers are the motor!
The workshop is intended for ages 16+. No prior knowledge is needed. Duration: 2–3 hours
The event will be held in English.
Free entry.
The number of places is limited. Registration is required.
