On the Move’s General Assembly

22 – 24 May 2018
Polo Cultural Gaivotas Boavista, Lisbon

On the Move (OTM) is a cultural mobility information network with 44 members in over 20 countries across Europe and internationally. On the Move’s mission is to encourage and facilitate cross-border mobility and cooperation, contributing to building up a vibrant and shared European cultural space that is strongly connected worldwide.

The strength of OTM lies in its members: 44 organisations, diverse in nature and mission, joining forces and sharing knowledge to support the mobility of artists and cultural operators through information coordination, advocacy and joint activities. On the Move includes as well in its membership 6 individuals. OTM’s members are active in various domains, mainly in the performing arts and multidisciplinary sectors. 31 members are organisations, 13 members are networks/federations. OTM’s members are based in 24 EU and non-EU countries. All of them are active at the regional/international level (inter- and across the EU as well as with Third Countries) and through them, OTM’s activities can reach out worldwide.

On the Move’s annual general assembly will take place in Lisbon, from 22 to 24 May. Dušan Dovč will attend the meeting representing SCCA-Ljubljana. Nowadays SCCA-Ljubljana participates within the network as an organisation focused on visual arts, archiving of contemporary arts and education. Thus we contribute additional content to the main focus of the network.

Besides the general assembly the members will participate at the internal On the Move’s workshop: “advocacy – diversity – narratives”, visit Monsanto Residencies (new artistic residencies cluster), participate at the event with cultural professionals and artists in Lisbon and join the meeting of Mobility Info Points.

Special thanks for the invitation to On the Move, Marie Le Sourd, general secretary general.
Mobility is supported by: European Cultural Foundation / STEP travel grants.
